Sage and Apple Stuffing

You don’t need to stuff this into anything to enjoy the taste and aroma of traditional sage and apple stuffing. The sprouted quinoa and rice provide a nutty flavor and crunch, as well as superior nutrition.
1 cup TruRoots Sprouted Rice and Quinoa Blend
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
1 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 cup finely diced celery
1 small Granny Smith apple, diced
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage
½ cup apple juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook TruRoots Sprouted Rice and Quinoa Blend according to package directions.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, celery, and apple and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in sage and apple juice and heat just to boiling. Stir in cooked Truroots Sprouted Rice and Quinoa Blend. Heat through. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Makes 4 to 6 servings
